Triglavski National Park, Slovenia

Ciao bella to Italia! We really had a wonderful time in Italy, probably a good job we've left as we were in danger of turning into a pizza and/ or gelati!

We're now in Slovenia in the Julian Alps camped in a beautiful site next to the Soca river.
I came here in 1986 on my first European cycling trip where the highlight was cycling up the Vrisic Pass (1611m) which is the highest mountain pass in the Julian Alps.

The Soca river is known for it's emerald green water, canyons and is a mecca for kayaking and rafting.

We've been doing some rafting as well as plenty of jumping into the freezing cold water in the gorges.
