Lost In Burgandy

Headed north and stopped near Auxere in Northern Burgandy. The campsite is next to the Canal du Nivernais and the tow path is a popular cycle route, so many of the campers had cycled here.

We had a nice relaxed bike ride this morning (relaxed as flat and no wind!) along the tow path.  Peaceful with canal boats going by, we explored the workings of a loch and had a picnic.

It is the busiest holiday week of the year and most of the crowds are in the south of France or at the coast. It is really good to find this charming less well known part of France. The majority of the other campers at the site are French which is always a good sign!
