Amalfi Coast and the Walk of the Gods

Had a great day today touring the Amalfi coast.

We started high in the hills in the small village of Bomerano with coffee and gelati for A, C & S to get our strength up! Did the first part of the 'walk of the gods' which was just beautiful. Paths cut high in the cliffs overlooking the sea below that have been used by farmers for centuries. We passed vineyards clinging to the sides of the cliffs, houses built in caves and a herd of goats with bells round their necks passed us whilst we had lunch.

Then we took the car and drove down to the coast to the picturesque village of Positano. The village clings to the sides of the cliffs and seemed full of American movie stars (Brad Pitt?)! More gelati on the beach to give us energy for the trip home. The Amalfi coast road is crazy... more hair-pin bends than you can shake a stick at, a few buses and plenty of flash sports cars!

Sarah going for the movie star look again!
