Italian Mountains

We travelled from Naples to the pristine Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. We trekked the kids to the top of Monte Marsicano (2245m). Great views of the picture perfect village of Opi. Charlie and Alex earned their gold hiking award for this walk! The park is famous wildlife including the Marscian brown bear, Italian Wolf and the Roe Deer. We saw two Roe Deer and heard a wolf howling in the night. Very special. Amazing to think its only two hours from our next stop Rome....
